Why it matters

World's largest mango pie
Residents of the 86 barangays with the San Carlos City Bakers Association baked a 100 m² pie (2 inches thick) using 2,000 kg of mangoes — at a total cost of about ₱400,000 — at the City plaza, as part of the Mango-Bamboo Festival.
